TICKETS FOR SECOND CAPTAINS LIVE SHOW 6

Hey there,

Last night 3 time Major winner Padraig Harrington exacted the cruellest revenge by booting Olympic hero Sonia O’Sullivan from the Good Wall. Even more shocking was Murph (Gerry McInereny) surrendering his Challenge Second Captains crown to Derval O’Rourke. What a night!

Second Captains Live are coming back next week, April 16th, at 10.20pm for our final show in the series. If you want to get your name into Ralph Macchio’s tombola for the chance to join us in RTE studios then please send an email to live@secondcaptains.com with your name, contact details and the number of tickets you’re looking for (max 4).

We need to have your email in before midday Friday 11th April to be included in Ralph’s tombola and only over 21s can apply. Those picked out by Ralph will receive an email Friday afternoon with details of the show.

Looking forward to seeing you there and best of luck.

Sexily yours,

Second Captains.

Hey there,

The Good Wall bloodbath continued last night when Niall Quinn bombed Roy Keane out of the Top 10 Irish sports people of all time. A divisive call which split the crowd down the middle. We hadn’t seen this sort of schism in the Irish people since…oh well.

Second Captains Live are coming back next week, April 9th, at 10.20pm and if you want to get your name into Ralph Macchio’s tombola for the chance to join us in RTE studios and voice your pleasure or vent your anger at the Good Wall selections then please send an email to live@secondcaptains.com with your name, contact details and the number of tickets you’re looking for (max 4).

We need to have your email in before midday Friday 4th April to be included in Ralph’s tombola and only over 21s can apply. Those picked out by Ralph will receive an email Friday afternoon with details of the show.

Looking forward to seeing you there and best of luck.

Sexily yours,

Second Captains.

Tickets to Second Captains Live SHOW 2

Hello there people,

Ralph Macchio’s first outing as independent adjudicator for Second Captains Live went smoothly and the controversial Pierce Brosnan era has been consigned to the past. So we’re happy to roll Ralph out to step up and take charge of the draw for the second show.

Second Captains Live are coming back next week, Wednesday 19th March, at 10.15pm. We want Ralph’s roll to continue and to provide us with the stellar audience we can be proud of.

To qualify for the draw and to see the Second Captains live in RTE on Wednesday 19th March, please send an email to live@secondcaptains.com with your name, contact details and the number of tickets you’re looking for (max 4).

We need to have your email in before midday Friday 14th March to be included in Ralph’s tombola and only over 21s can apply. Those picked out by Ralph will receive an email Friday afternoon with details of the show.

Second Captains Live: Tickets for Series 2 Show 1 in RTE Studios

Second Captains Live is returning to your screens on 12th March, 10:15pm on RTE 2 and we beg you to come and join us.

We’ve once again guaranteed RTE a beautiful, lively and intelligent audience but in the absence of that, we’ve decided our best option is mix you lot with some tunes, a few drinks, some nibbles and see what we come up with. So come and share the night with us and some brilliant guests in RTE studios, we can guarantee a great night.

So now to the controversial ticketing process. Due to popular demand after rumours of favouritism towards people from Navan, Pierce Brosnan has been relieved of his ticket adjudicator duties. The draw will instead be carried out by friend of the show and close acquaintance of Pierce, Ralph Macchio*, star of the 1984 movie blockbuster, The Karate Kid.

To get your name into Ralph’s tombola, just email live@secondcaptains.com with your name, contact details, the number of tickets you’re looking for (max 4 don’t be greedy) and with ‘RTE SHOW 1’ in the subject line.

We need to have your email before noon on Friday 7th of March to be included in the draw and only over 18s can apply. We’ll inform ticket winners before Friday evening. There’ll be 6 shows in this series so if Ralph disappoints you for this one, just reapply when the other draws are announced and we’re sure he’ll sort you out.

Looking forward to seeing you there and best of luck!

Sexily yours,

Second Captains.

*Ralph has asked us to inform entrants that he will look unfavourably at being called Daniel LaRusso in any mail entries.

SECOND CAPTAINS LIVE SHOW IN WHELANS

Hello there you,

The Whelans venue is synonymous with hosting top class talent, established talent, up and coming talent and now, well the sweaty, hairy, Second Captains.

In the run up to the return of Second Captains Live to national television, Whelans in Wexford St, Dublin will host a once-off Second Captains extravaganza on Friday 21st February. The show will be on the eve of the England v Ireland Six Nations match and we’ll be joined by some very special guests. But that’s not all! You may well win a Second Captains t-shirt, see Simon Hick semi-naked AND Brian O’Driscoll will also join us (in chair form).

image

We want you to be there with us and Big Pierce Brosnan has once again agreed to act as chief adjudicator in the draw for tickets. Sure he may have let you down in the past, but put your faith back in those uncalloused Meath hands of his.

To go in the draw, just email live@secondcaptains.com with your name, contact details, the number of tickets you’re looking for (max 4 don’t be greedy) and with ‘Whelans Live’ in the subject line.

We need to have your email before midday this Friday to be included in the tombola and only over 18s can apply.

SECOND CAPTAINS LIVE: TICKETS FOR FINAL SHOW

Hey everybody,

We’re coming to the end of our first foray into live television. The three shows have been a brilliant laugh and thanks to everyone who came to the programmes and also everyone who has supported us from the beginning.

The demand for audience tickets has been incredible since the very first show in the Grand Social and for our last show we are trying to accommodate those of you who have been cruelly rejected in the past.

There will be a very limited number of tickets available (for people who have yet to apply) for the last show on Wednesday 2nd October. If you’d like to be included in the draw email live@secondcaptains.com with the number of tickets you’re looking for (don’t be greedy, the max is 4) before 5pm Friday 27th September.

It’s Pierce’s last gig for us so we’d just like to say a big thanks to him and his tombola for the sterling work he’s done for ‘Second Captains Live’ amidst a deluge of hate, threats and blackmails.

Thank you so much for all the support so far and hope to see you soon.

Sexily yours as always,

Second Captains

The Good Wall: All the Picks

The Second Captains’ Good Wall, as well as having JFK and Pope John Paul II in pride of place, also plays host to Ireland’s 10 greatest sports stars as voted by some of Ireland’s greatest sports stars.

The Second Captains’ stat monkey number cruncher compiled the votes of our extended Second Captains team: Shane Horgan, Oisin McConville, Andy Lee, Richie Sadlier, Derval O’Rourke, Mark Rohan, Anthony Moyles, Bernard Dunne, Aileen Reid and Jerry Flannery and had finished up with the list below before the start of the series:

Second Captains Live: Tickets for show 3

Hey everybody,

There has been incessant and incandescent rage reaped upon us by those of you who have been rejected by Pierce Brosnan in the previous two draws for Second Captains Live; much like the rage Sonia is experiencing at the moment for dumping Padraig Harrington from the Good Wall. So, we bowed to the pressure and have instructed Pierce to give preference in our next draw to those unlucky enough to have missed out in the past.

But, for those of you yet to witness Simon Hick stripping in the flesh, we have a very limited number of tickets available (for people who have yet to apply) for our next show on Wednesday 25th September. If you’d like to be included in the draw email live@secondcaptains.com with the number of tickets you’re looking for (don’t be greedy max 4) before 5pm today (20th of September).

We’ll also be in touch on Thursday morning of next week with ticket news for our final extravaganza on Wednesday October 2nd.

Thank you so much for all the support so far and please don’t hate us if Pierce screws you over again.

Sexily yours as always,

Second Captains.

Second Captains Live: Show 2

Hello there,

We had so much fun last night at the very first ‘Second Captains Live’, we’re gonna do it all again next Wednesday night and we want you to be there.

Despite receiving endless supplies of vitriolic emails from listeners and viewers who failed to make the cut for our first show, Ireland’s greatest ever export Pierce Brosnan is once again opening up his tombola and preparing his manicured hands for another draw.

To qualify for the draw and to see the Second Captains live in RTE on Wednesday 18th September in the hairy, sweaty flesh, please send an email to live@secondcaptains.com with your name, contact details and the number of tickets you’re looking for (max 4).

We need to have your email in before Friday 13th September at midday to be included in Pierce Brosnan’s tombola and only over 21s can apply. The show will finish at 11.50pm.

Looking forward to seeing you there and best of luck.

Sexily yours,
Second Captains.
